Quince Party Planning

Congratulations on your Quince Anos!  It is now time to start planning your party and quince photo session.  Planning your party is a lot of work, but don't be intimidated.  A good list will help you through.

The first thing to do is sit down with mom and dad and determine a budget.  These events can be costly and you will want to determine a budget for each aspect of your party and quince photo session.  Things to consider are the cost of entertainment, the venue of course, invitations, photography, video, limousine and quince dress.

Choose a date for your party and quince session.  Choosing a date is important as you will want to be sure it's available for your family, guests and vendors you choose.

Make a list of venues and vendors.  Prioritize what is most important.  It may be your entertainment has more priority than number of guests or how luxurious your venue is.  Visit each venue and vendor and carefully choose, keeping in mind your total budget.  Leave a little room in your budget for unexpected expenses.

Time to find a dress.  This is a lot of fun. Most quinceaneras rent dresses as it will not be worn again.  When renting the dress take into consideration the choices of dresses and the cost.  Service is very important.  Some of the larger dress shops are not flexible with the time you can have the dress for allowing you to use it only for one or two days.  This can be costly if it rains on the day of your photo session and you have to rebook the session and rent the dress again.  Take your time when choosing your dress.   You are only going to do this once and you want to look amazing for your quince photos and party.  Next start shopping for invitations.  You should start this five or six months prior to your party.  It may take a few weeks for your invitations to arrive.

Plan the details of your quince photo session and party.  Take your time as there are a lot of details to consider such as table cloth colors, runners, chairs, flowers, up lighting, entertainment, seating charts and more.  Have a through list to keep you organized.  

Theme parties can be fun too.  A popular theme is the Roaring Twenties.  Flapper dresses are super cute and available on the internet at affordable prices.   The important thing is to enjoy the planning and your party.
